12th Annual Symposium on Poverty & Economic Security

What We Have Planned:

Join us, and our colleagues from non-profit, government, community-based organizations and businesses, to explore the intersection between health care and poverty at our 12th Annual Symposium on Poverty & Economic Security, March 14th in Troy NY.

Attendees will hear medical professionals, low income people and Community Action Agencies discuss the challenges and successes they have had in improving access to affordable, high quality health and dental health services. We will also provide an update on New York State’s new anti-poverty effort, the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI.)

You also will have an opportunity to hear from author Mary Otto, and if you are one of the first 100 registrants you will receive a copy of her book “Teeth: The Story of Beauty, Inequality, and the Struggle for Oral Health in America.”

We hope you will join us as we come together for our 12th Annual Symposium on Poverty and Economic Security. We hope that it is a day that will leave you with new knowledge and contacts to expand
